not for me - works

I have 4 different pairs of Altras and decided to give it a try. I didn't like the knit top around the ankle. He didn't feel safe. Returned.

Pros
  • finally bought
Cons
  • slightly torn

Great Shoes - Shoes

The only problem is that the part that goes up the back (heel) is too stiff and the reinforcement rubs until it breaks. may bother you if you don't.

Very poor with thin heel collar

Went for a walk to try these and the heel collar was causing blisters. The next time I went for a walk I added some heel padding with a cut adhesive pad which seemed to help. The purchase price was about 40 US dollars.

  • New
Cons

Great shoes for active activities!

I love these shoes! The wide toe base is perfect for my stiff toe arthritis issues. Zerodrop is great. The perfect cushioning for running. The heel isn't very cushioned on the back and slipped a bit - I just tied the heel lacing and that solved the problem. Great shoes, especially at the promotional price!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Comfortable shoes but thin rubberized edges

Overall comfortable but upper is made of thin fabric. The tongue is not soft, with fancy rubberized edges. The collar of the boot has the same thin rubberized edges but with padding at the back of the edge. All this indicates that this is a very comfortable and light shoe. I love the Altra wide toe box design. true size.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No

Left shoe is smaller than right

My right foot is slightly larger than my left, so I always choose shoes that fit my right foot. I have plenty of room in my right boot when running with these Altras, but my left toes are right on the end of the boot and are uncomfortable. I got a blister on my left toe on the first run. Very annoying. Maybe stretching the left shoe will solve this problem.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Functionality

Disappointed A big design flaw

I wear Altras all the time and love them but not this pair. I decided to try the Duo for more cushioning when running on the road. Overall the shoe fits and feels great with one big exception. The top of the shoe on the back of the ankle is awful! It has no cushioning, which wouldn't necessarily be a problem, except that the spot just on the back of the ankle where it fits, where it's stitched and glued, is very stiff and digs into the back of the ankle. They feel like they're going to cut…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
