Half of their own cast.

This line is great. Protects fingers when cutting with a rotary cutter or razor. The line is very accurate. Made from very good durable aluminum and has a lanyard hole for hanging and keeping it straight.

The best ruler for cutting

that I worked in the clothing industry, we had to make precise cuts all the time. This is the best line for that. Allows you to put your fingers in the groove to protect them while cutting (we also used this groove to place our Xacto knives when we're not cutting so they're easy to find when needed). I've had an 18" for years and bought this 12" for small trimming jobs.

Good quality. Great for designers

As an architecture student I need a good paper cutting ruler and a wide range of modeling materials. This one is best suited for this. Some others are flexible and leave jagged lines; not so with Alumicutter. It's fairly stiff and has a soft, non-slip underside, so you can be assured of a clean cut. One thing I noticed is that in the past some sort of hardened edge was applied to the cutting side of the ruler - I believe it was stainless steel. They don't do that anymore, so only cut aluminum…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
