It fits perfectly into the Lenovo C330 Chromebook's SD slot and doesn't protrude at all. You may need a small blade to pry it back out of the card slot, but as long as you leave it in, it fits perfectly. It doesn't look like it will just fall out of the slot, it fits snugly. It was pretty much plug and play with a Chromebook. There's nothing worse than an SD card sticking out the side of your laptop and this solves this problem.

I have an Asus q405, not the model it was made for. It fits and protrudes from my Q405 about as prominently as the power and volume controls, which are on the same side as the SD slot. I knew it was going to be close, but I thought it was worth it. I measured before ordering and while 16mm was correct for the Q405 I think it's closer to 15mm. In any case, I'm happy with the physical size and don't mind a bit of a head start (I narrowly expected it.) Now I need a microSD card to pop in and use.

This is (in my opinion) the BEST microSD to SD adapter. They say don't buy, I'm sure they work with 90% of the available laptops and tablets that have a regular SD card half-inserted. In terms of performance, they are almost as good as using a MicroSD card without an adapter. You can take cheap plastic bottles (I had 3), you shouldn't buy them. Spend a little more and get them. I bought this mini/short microSD card adapter for my Lenovo Chromebook C330.
