Review on πŸ’Ύ Enhance Storage Capacity for Asus ZenBook Flip ux360CA with BASEQI Aluminum microSD Adapter by Paul Tilden

Revainrating 2 out of 5

WILL NOT FIT/WORK with ASUS Q-Series (Q-504) 2-in-1 ZenBook Flip!

The idea was good as I use a rectangular USB 3.0 extension cable to route the cables to the back of the laptop. (Mostly I use my laptop at my house because I have Comcast broadband cable service, and while I think (and know) that Comcast is EXTREMELY expensive other than a leased T-1 line and/or fiber to my house, it's the best option in my field.) I built a DIY docking station for my ASUS ZenBook Q504UAK 2-in-1 touch laptop on a mobile old desktop rolling table. So when using a right angle USB 3.0 extender the cable goes right in front of my built in SD card slot and as it is not a fully pluggable SD card slot only the working part of the SD card is used. The card was a great idea and very unobtrusive. There are now only three possibilities: the BASEQi adapter is fixed and CANNOT properly read a 200GB micro SD card (and I've tried other smaller reviews as well, mind you :) or the low-profile adapter is NOT long enough to be USED with THIS STYLE of touch laptop Asus Q-Series ZenBook 2-in-1; This means that the "brass(?) connectors" on the bottom of the BASEQi unit, designed specifically for the "ASUS ZenBook Flip" laptop, do not provide the correct connection needed in the motherboard slot to read the micro SD card. The third possibility is that I have a faulty Micro SD card reader. But I strongly doubt that such a small device made of ALUMINUM is really immediately defective! (Mmm. But I've been wrong before and I'm wrong again, just like the sky is blue! ;) Cheers! Sawuwaya
