Aluminum Responsive Bearing for Novice Users Review

I bought 2 different yo-yos. This one was a lot more reactive than the other so it was a lot easier for my 7 year old to use. I had to cut the rope in half so the yo-yo wouldn't hit the ground. but that was to be expected, the string was the perfect length for an adult before I cut it in half.

Nice looking yo-yo. Free spinning. I wanted a cheap yo-yo that was easy to use. Unfortunately, this isn't a responsive yo-yo as advertised. I followed the instructions and re-tightened the yo-yo many times and could never go back to the yo-yo unless I tried a more advanced method (tie?). It seems this technique makes him come back, but it's way beyond my capabilities.

I got this yo-yo for my daughter, the cheap plastic broke. Wasn't expecting much for the price, but was pleasantly surprised. It's a solid piece of aluminum, maybe too strong. I'm more worried about all things yo-yo! I wouldn't give this to very young children. When I took it out of the box, the yo-yo didn't sleep at all. This is because the ball bearings inside were dry. When he opened it up and added some oil he fixed it properly. I thought my old yo-yo I had as a kid (which I lost) was good,
