Great tags if you follow this advice

They're cute and pretty easy to spot at baggage claim. I've been using them for many years. They can sometimes go a bit darker since they're aluminum, but here's an important tip: they come with a card insert and a clear lid that slides into the aluminum body. You need to make a few extra insert cards to go past the ones you received. The goal is to "fill" the innards so they firm up. One or two layers of maps is enough, and that makes a big difference. Decent for domestic travel.

As a frequent flyer I bought these hoping they would stand up to frequent travel. They consist of an attractive aluminum body and are attached with a steel cable; The cable attaches easily and securely, while the aluminum body stores personal information in case the case is lost. I stumbled across them and decided to give them a try and bought enough for my family and I to have three each. What I love is the colour, they definitely stand out and will probably help identify your bag. They are solid, the attachment chain feels solid…

3 week trip abroad - didn't last

We bought these two packs hoping that they would be stronger than many other luggage tags we have had the misfortune to deal with. Solid aluminium, coated steel cable – they have to be strong, right? Well, something like that. We have just returned from a 3 week trip to Asia which included 11 flights and 4 train journeys (yes we are moving). A tag came back with decent damage. The second didn't come back at all. The first has a few creases, apparently it was creased in transit. That doesn't…
