Received today 4/17/18, looks good straight away, no issues with chrome. Test them on a bike, the right side used the existing set screws, everything fits great. the left side needs longer set screws, fits great, no problem, fasten and tighten while looking good. 2013 Harley Street Glide. We'll see how the chrome holds up, hence only 4 stars for now, but first impressions are of a nice solid product.

This is a good product but I have encountered the same problem as others. The right side works fine. The left side is a different story. A locking screw (does not secure the cover for unknown reasons). You will need to find and purchase a slightly longer set screw to tighten the cover. I have them on my bike and they look good now. I just felt like an idiot for not being able to back them up with the hardware that came with them. I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Otherwise nice little role.

Look at the actual picture of the product received to see how disgusting it is to put 3 screws on the covers. Why this additional screw killer? The inside diameter is too big for the axle nuts. Tight fitting authentic HD lids use only 1 screw for security. With this set, if you have tucked the side with the two screws towards the bottom, the screw will stay up and face you, ruining the look of a reasonably clean and nice piece. Too ugly in my book. First of all I would rate the looks of the covers 5 stars. I bought the Chrome version for my FLHTC. Harley charges $40 for their version, so that's a great value. However, according to the instructions, there should be 2 sets of set screws, one long and one short. Mine only came with long ones and this caused the set screws to get stuck on the covers which not only looks crappy but I have to be careful when cleaning. So I've been seeing all these Chinese aluminum castings all over Revain and thought it's time to see if there's a visual quality difference compared to some of the CNC machined or milled parts that are usually 2- 3 run times more expensive. Overall, I have to say that the details look good visually. The color is not strong with orange peel and looks properly applied. Tool marking is also not too difficult. I have previously bought HD covers and was disappointed that I had to destroy them to remove when changing the front wheel. HD supplied only one set screw for each cover, even though each had two holes. This allowed water and salt to get in, causing corrosion and seizing of the bolts. This is aluminum which is a softer metal and is also less prone to corrosion. Only 6 screws are included so all holes are filled.
