Although they're ergonomic, they lose bristles quickly and the wire isn't as thick as we'd like. Overall 5 stars but if you have many buy multiple packs.

This set of 3 7" brass wire brushes have semi-flexible bristles and are suitable for a variety of small jobs. The face of the bristles is 1 1/2 inches long and 3 rows wide, which equals 1/2 inch. There is also a small section of 3/8 inch bristles on the top of the brush for getting into small gaps. The handle is offset so as not to interfere with the joints. It's not soft, but has a matte, slightly rubberized finish so it feels nice and secure in your hand. Solid tool.

The individual bristles are very thin so I don't think they are ideal for removing stubborn paint, rust etc, possibly light loose particles. They're more suited to cleaning finer dirt, roughening up soft surfaces such as car battery terminals, and perhaps doing tougher jobs after tougher brushes when parts still need cleaning. I am very impressed with these brass brushes as they are of surprisingly good quality. The handles are covered in a semi-soft material, making these little brushes a lot easier to use than cheap plastic. The bristles are strong and have a good grip without dangling. They are also trimmed well for even exfoliation. These are great brushes for cleaning things like guns and brass fittings where you can't or shouldn't use steel bristle brushes. Get three at this price is good. I like the addition of a fine detail brush at the top of the brush so I don't have to stuff the main brush's tip into small gaps, causing it to bend and needlessly damage it.
