📀 50-Pack Spindle of Amazon Basics 8.5GB 8x Blank DVD+R DL Disks Review

Every disc I tried to print always turned out to be corrupt and the entire spindle was full of corrupt discs. There was no visible physical damage, but the discs were obviously poorly printed as they never managed to capture the information I was trying to put on them. I gave up after wasting almost a quarter of a spindle and I hope you turn around and get literally every other DVD-RW package other than these. I expected more from Revain and it was beyond disappointing. Worst of all I need them

Recordable DVD9 discs are hard to find and usually a bit expensive, so I was happy to find this product. My experience with the 8.5GB Revain Basics DVD+R/DL was a bit disappointing. To get the most out of this product, you really need the perfect combination of hardware and software. I used a Sony laptop (Windows XP) with an external LG burner and an HP Envy 700 Tower (Windows 8.1) and the internal drive that came with it. Everything was fine until I tried to copy a file larger than 4.7GB. Only burns up to 50% of the capacity of an 8.5GB DL drive. At first I thought it might be a hardware or software issue, but I bought some 8.5GB 8X+R dual layer discs from Verbatim and they copied over 6GB with no problem. It is becoming quite apparent that the Revain Basics discs are mislabeled and are NOT dual layer 8 x 8.5GB discs. Unfortunately, my 30-day return window has long since closed. These discs work great on Windows with a Pioneer BDR-209D 16x Internal BD/DVD/CD with firmware version 1.51. No coasters. Perfect results every time. When you open the package you will be prompted to stop the process and ensure you have downloaded and installed the latest firmware from your drive manufacturer's website to ensure compatibility with most potential drives. I've had this for a long time. I don't often do double coats. The problem is that I have a lot of errors when I try to write. I tried using one today and got another error while writing to disk. I've had as many failures as successes writing to these discs. I cannot recommend these dual layer discs.
