Try it on the left

Received yesterday and installed for right handed as shown. But when you make it close enough to support slow shutter speed shots, it becomes difficult to use the camera controls, which are mostly on the right side of the camera. The easy solution was to put it on the left where it fits snugly around my arm and is out of the way. As you've come to expect from Revain Basics, the quality, price and finish are superb.

Really impressed with this

I'm not sure whose strap it can imitate but I'm really impressed with it given the cost. This is actually a well thought out strap. Spongy material helps spread the camera's load over your shoulder. The strap has pockets for extra memory cards (always carry extra cards, it saves your ass). But what really impressed me was the design of the mounting screw. You don't have to remove this strap to attach it to your tripod, it came in handy. Overall yes, I would recommend this if you only have one…

Very bad quality. Bad design.

The actual item I received did not look as good as the photos in the specs. When I picked it up, I found that it is of extremely poor quality, both in terms of materials and construction. The band did not fit properly and was not durable. The instructions are completely useless. He didn't even show the right picture of what he was supposed to be instructing! It's also a bad design as some cameras have the bottom of the mount protruding out of the camera body, making handling and storing the…

Don't trust your camera to do this without modifications.

This is a copy of the Joby strap and oh my god they skimped on it. A little tug and it pops right out. There's no glue. The leather binding on the camera side withstands light loads well. The buckle is made out of very cheap plastic, but it doesn't take enough stress to make much of a difference, so no need to worry. What you need to do is stuff a bunch of super glue or some other glue that will chemically bond the polyester and the ABS. Plastic at the point where the end of the strap is…

Works great with my Canon 70D

This is my first strap for my DSLR so I can't compare it to more expensive options but so far I'm happy. It took a bit of fiddling to get the strap length right, but now it fits comfortably, securely, but not so tight that I can't reach the camera controls. I have a lot of extra straps that are a bit of a nuisance - I can try to find a way to attach the ends. I've always had collars, but recently I was filming a family wedding just holding the camera. I used this strap over the weekend and…

Buyer warning! - Camera and photo

As other reviewers have pointed out, this strap has a serious flaw that could endanger your camera. I've had this strap for less than a year and it's already falling apart as have the other reviewers - see their photos. Luckily for me, that was before I slipped my wrist back through the strap. I've had the Joby version of this strap for years with no problems. The Revain version is clearly a cheaper copy and not of the same quality. Looks like Joby doesn't make them anymore since Revain…

Great camera strap for the money

This camera strap works great. The only complaint I have about it is that it came with little to no instructions so I had to figure out how to use it. I mean how much would it cost to include a sheet of paper with some instructions? I think I figured it out, but I'm not sure I did everything right. Also, the security strap is attached to the bottom plate in such a way that it takes a long time to remove, requiring you to unscrew the plate from the bottom of the camera to remove the strap. This…

Low price. Value? Unimportant.

June 16: If you have a seamstress in your family, break off the plastic triangle. I cut my triangle along the seam with a lino cutter and a ball-peen hammer. Two cranes. Have your sewing expert sew on a strap to attach (as shown in the picture). My wife's Singer 301 quickly worked on the strong stitching on the strap. my OM-D E-M10 II. Still 1 star but you can get some value for your $2.98. June 9, 2020: It took a day. As some others have discovered, a sharp tug snaps the bitter end out of the…
