This is a copy of the Joby strap and oh my god they skimped on it. A little tug and it pops right out. There's no glue. The leather binding on the camera side withstands light loads well. The buckle is made out of very cheap plastic, but it doesn't take enough stress to make much of a difference, so no need to worry. What you need to do is stuff a bunch of super glue or some other glue that will chemically bond the polyester and the ABS. Plastic at the point where the end of the strap is inserted to reduce the chance of it falling out.
