May not work with related devices.

This product has a major design flaw. 1080p60 is not supported. As a result, I can't get it to work in this mode. I had to set the corresponding hardware to 1080i50. I think everything will be fine. Not sure yet.

I haven't tried my best with audio and video accessories.

I bought this product to convert the SDI signal from the Malincam telescopic camera with the HDMI output going to a 7 inch monitor of the world of sensation and several others Unfortunately the signal didn't go through. This is probably because the particular SDI standard used by the telescope's camera is not supported by this device, but this should be stated more clearly on the product page.

This SDI/HDMI converter allows you to use broadcast cameras and longer cables.

Unit worked great right out of the box. I hooked it up to a Sony broadcast camera and the output went to my ATEM switcher and the picture looked great. I used the power adapter that came with the device connected to a USB/AC adapter. With this device I can increase the distance between the camera and the mixer.

The light turns on. Wow.!

I bought this unit hoping to use it to SDI from a Canon XA45 to an HDMI capture card. I plugged it in and the red light came on, but none of the settings I tried revealed the HDMI channel. Tried on a capture card and on a TV. Nobody showed the video. I hope Revain reads this and stops selling this product as it doesn't work. I also bought an HDMI to SDI converter because I figured they could handle HDMI even if they couldn't figure out the SDI to HDMI conversion. to SDI. This device did notโ€ฆ

Revane got a bad batch?

I already have a Decimator MD-HX (which can do a lot more since it's an up/down/cross converter but is also more expensive) and a BlackMagic Design converter SDI to HDMI Mini. So with the mini BMD converters on order, I decided to try Revain Basics. Got it, plugged it into the TV's USB port to power it, HDMI and SDI plugged into it. Nothing. I figured even though the LED was on, maybe it didn't have enough power, so I plugged it into a 2.4 amp USB charger. Nothing. Then I thought maybe my BNCโ€ฆ
