It does not work. Not what appears from the description. Avoid.

This device worked very poorly for about 1 hour and then completely failed. While this worked, it was obvious that it was a regular USB 3.0 hub with a USB-C connector. NOT (I repeat NOT) a USB 3.1 Gen 2 (aka USB 3.2) hub with 4 USB 3.0 Type A output ports. Now Amazan can pay to ship it back to Las Vegas where I hope it gets recycled rather than being sold to another disgruntled customer.

PERFECT FOR KEYBOARD - KORG nanoKONTROL, Keyboard, vMeter

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro that only comes with four USB-C/Thunderbolt ports and a headphone jack. I struggled with a lack of ports for keyboard setup and ended up having serious problems with StarTech products (unless they were plugged directly into a laptop, which had cables WAY too small and therefore never worked for me). without extension). None of them worked with an extension cord, and the powered one wouldn't even turn on my devices with an AC adapter and an extension cord? Really weird.

4-star worthy, but not yet at 5-star level.

I discovered this when trying to connect multiple devices to my 2018 MacBook Pro and it fit the bill in terms of port count and price, plus it would only be required via one of mine four ports. I've been using it for a few days now to connect my many portable drives and transfer all my information to my new 4TB drive. The speed is good, and as I mentioned before, being able to connect up to four drives simultaneously through just one port is a big plus! One problem I've encountered is that the…

Some are good, some are bad.

EDIT: I sometimes have power consumption issues on small to medium sized devices. I wouldn't use this to flash microcontrollers that might be hard-locked (the bootloader isn't in ROM). In addition, the device produces a surprising amount of radio interference in the upper UHF range. A noticeable change in range and signal-to-noise ratio for 2.4 GHz wireless devices can be observed within a few meters when using an aggressive USB 3.0/3.1 connection speed and is active.
