Great for women too.

I'm a woman and I bought these because I couldn't find tight pajama bottoms that were long enough and made entirely of cotton. They work great! I found out the size because I read that they are tight. I'm 5ft 9in, 140lbs and size L fits me. The step is clearly intended for men. I had to sew it up because it looks ridiculous on a woman.

Ordered a size up but was too small

Size too small x2. I wear XL. I ordered 2xl large as recommended in another review. Still small: slim waist, compression legs, 4 inches long. Rear end cut for people with no ass, do NOT ride half my tear fleece lined single layer cotton doesn't even comb through. The material is NOT elastic as described. This is soft cotton. Useless to me.

I've seen a few reviewers here say it's a bit small and I was a bit skeptical because it's underwear and meant to fit snugly. I wear jeans with a 34" inseam and 38" waist so I thought about going big but decided to go XL instead. Size XL fits me but they are narrow and I could have taken a different size. The top is just as tight, but I won't be wearing them that often.

There is no toxic smell at all! These long johns were NOT soaked in chemicals.

I usually have to wash new clothes several times to get rid of the toxic smell and sometimes it lingers even after many washes. Not these! It doesn't smell! Why can't the other companies? This fabric is as soft and comfortable as those soaked in chemicals. I liked them so much that I immediately ordered a second set. They are undersized. I'm 5ft 6" and not overweight. I like when the things I sleep in are roomy and the 3XL hold up well after washing. I love how stretchy the fabric is evenโ€ฆ

THEY ARE NOT RIGHT CUT but feel good.

This is the perfect material, BUT THEY ARE NOT REALLY CUT and too small. I ordered medium and have a waist 32, inseam 30 and I could barely get my leg through my leg. I sent them back and then ordered a large one and the size is still small but there is another problem. There is too much material on the front so you have to pull it over your belly button to smooth it out or get multiple layers of crumpled fabric. Worse, there isn't enough material on the back. When I bend forward, I end upโ€ฆ
