This review reflects what others have written, the quality of the leather and the leatherwork itself is some of the best I have seen. I have a Gerber Suspension Tool and it's perfect for this. The quality of the leather is such that it fits my belt and tool snugly, but it does soften with age like any quality leather. The case sits low enough on my belt so it doesn't bang my side like it does in some cases. Highly recommended!

Like many others I was seriously disappointed to find that my original nylon suspension case was torn and the velcro strip wore out very quickly from light use. This case is what it should have sent. The leather is durable and of excellent quality. It's really cozy for the first few days. So tight that you may have trouble retrieving the tool or threading the strap through the loop to begin with. As mentioned in other reviews, the build quality was top notch. It doesn't slip on my 2" leather belt. What I liked the most was that the click doesn't require any effort. It finds its home so you don't have to fiddle with it. I got my multi tool as a gift a few years ago. The case was so bad and thin that I never used it. My work situation changed and I needed a multi tool, so I bought a new case or a brand new multi tool. I bought a case and it cost almost as much as the instrument itself, but this case will probably last forever. It's really well made out of thick leather. As advertised it must be broken but if you do it's very durable and much better than a net that lasts a year. It only took a day or two for the multi-tool to slide in and out easily, but not that easily. I'm still working on breaking the belt loop because I use a 1 1/2" wide belt that goes through the loop far enough that I can pull it through the loop with the tool's pliers. The button closure is very snappy fits in well and is held tight enough that I'm sure it won't open up and lose the tool

This leather case will likely last longer than the multi tool it was made for. Strong clasps, heavy thick leather that fits snugly from the start and loosens after a few months. The only thing I don't like is the belt loop where the bag folds, I wish it was sewn in one piece. When the belt is threaded through the loop, it sometimes catches on a fold of skin at the connection point. So I'm deducting a star for workmanship. Ordered this to replace the nylon sheath (which lasted 2 months before falling apart) for my Gerber hanger multi tool. The landing was PERFECT. My Gerber fits snugly in the case and the clasp "clicks" securely. Since I have a wide leather strap, the case fits snugly when inserted. mine, but I expect it to loosen up a bit if it breaks.
