🔥 High-Performance Kerosene Heater Wick for American Wick Review

The wick lasted 3 months. Burned unevenly, and yes, it installed correctly. My old lived many years. Very disappointed.

Installation is tricky and messy, the instructions say it comes with a piece of plastic to protect your fingers but I couldn't find it. But overall everything came on time and as advertised.

Excellent wick for my Corona 22DKb. It took a bit of trial and error to get the wick height right when installing, but not too difficult. WARNING, this is a fiberglass wick, so do not use diesel fuel (or a mixture of diesel and kerosene) with this wick as it will clog and/or burn over time. (You can usually only use diesel with cotton wicks, diesel is half the price of kerosene in New Jersey).

The wick was as expected and fitted my 25 year old Corona 22 DKC-a. The wick came with a small information leaflet which I found very helpful in solving an issue I was having with the heater. Apparently, most flame problems associated with kerosene heaters are due to bad, contaminated, or old kerosene. With this knowledge, I was able to get my heating system running properly again.
