This is a new strap that is more convenient and practical than the old one. Made of 2cm wideWebbing, durable to use. Adjustable . you can adjust it to your expected length. One piece of elastic has been attached on the strap. You will not feel too much pressure on your chest. Keeps shoulder straps of your backpack securely in place, and gives your hands free.

Ideal replacement part

I was going to buy a new backpack but the factory chest strap/buckle fell off and was lost. Luckily I saw this product - works great and saved me a ton!

Broken on first use! in Backpacking Packs

I was very excited at first. It was easy to assemble and fit well. Half of the buckle broke on my first walk. It was very disappointing. On my second outing I replaced the broken half with a good half from the 2nd set. When I hit the trail, I found that the two sets of buckles are not interchangeable. You can't "mix and match".

Excellent goods. Ease of installation.

I have tried other similar sets before but they did not fit. This chest strap kit was very easy to install. It stays in place when you adjust it, and the overall length of the straps is quite reasonable without looking too over the top. It seems and looks (mostly) like it could be a manufacturer replacement. Super happy with it!

poor quality, broke almost immediately causing my backpack to get stuck, had to cut the strap!

A whistle would be good IF the clasp wasn't so badly made that it broke immediately! Luckily it broke while I was home the night before the hike! I bought this to replace a standard chest harness that had the elastic loosening with age, so I just put the original harness back on (with a good quality buckle that lasted about 10 years) and the hike wasn't ruined - close!
