BEST we have found

Of course I haven't tried a bunch of cords - mostly leashes when needed to tie up our son's puppy - which when he's bored, everything chewed through what we've tried. This has held up great (4 months). He's not even interested in ever chewing it (hooray!), and it doesn't tangle much better. Very grateful.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • There are problems

Great Ties - Learning and Behavioral Aids

We use it when we go hiking for our 35lb French Bulldog. The longer cords found at pet stores and large retailers give him too much room to tangle. This length is just right. We either tie it to a picnic table or to the bottom tier of our fifth wheel. It has enough space to walk around without tangling around our chairs or feet.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • So So

Buyers be careful if you don't have a Chihuahua

I used this cord to let my 40 puppies out daily. I bought it less than a year ago and it's in good condition. Well it literally broke in half like scissors and my dog ran away! I watched everything from my door and waited for him to pee. After 20 seconds he was gone! Luckily I found it an hour later but it weighs 40 pounds and it says it can hold 60! This is how evil happened.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Good quality happy with purchase

I have a 4 year old husky who doesn't pull very hard but likes to try and chew his ties. I've had these for about a month now and use them indoors (to keep them in the kitchen and not in the baby gate). There are definitely tooth marks and I can see steel in some places when I pull the cord, but there are no sharp or dangerous parts (at least not yet) due to the nature of the material covering the cord. Overall I'm happy with it. The openers work well and the color was nice. I'll probably…

Know your length, worked for months, not good in the long run

UPDATE: So it's been a few months, today the pin broke and my dog was walking around. I live next to the freeway so this could end up being really bad, I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a dog 10lbs or less. Make sure you measure what 10 feet is before you buy. I figured that would be enough but I should have gone for the 15ft version but it still fits, my pup just has less room to tear the yard. The silicone boots at the end come off very easily, is that a big problem? Probably not if…

It doesn't knot and is fairly chew resistant.

I have a new puppy Jake (English Springer Spaniel) and a cage but I wanted the puppy to have more reach outside of the cage so he could use more surface area than his territory so I brought him with me a cable fastens the drawer with straps. I used some washable puppy training mats around the cage to prevent accidents. In the first month (8 to 12 weeks) he had a few accidents, but they all ended up on the training ground. The cable is very durable and although my pup likes to chew on it, the…

Quality guy ropes and pegs

I've ordered these guy ropes twice now and not because they really need to be replaced. I live where it freezes and snows, high winds and hail and even the occasional tornado nearby and my ties are left outside for my dogs to survive any weather and it's pretty tough on them. I bought the cheap ones at Walmart but they seemed to last about a month before the outer coating started cracking and breaking and even the clips started sticking. When I received my first set of these I was very happy…

  • High marks for support and durability from testers
