I ended up returning these shoes and taking the originals because they had a very strong chemical smell. I thought it was just the material and waited a bit for the smell to dissipate, but it didn't. It looked like the paint had been treated with a strong chemical. I was very disappointed because they were so cute, but I couldn't be calm when my kid chewed them because I didn't know what the smell was.

I ordered a pair of these shoes when my son was little and loved them. Once again I was satisfied with the product. Shoes are made of good material. They protect my son's feet from the ground while he learns to speak. They stretch to fit his leg, but don't restrict circulation or leave red marks. I have ordered other similar shoes from other companies and they all came with a very toxic smell. You don't have this problem.

Bought these for my little one. The day after we received them, having only worn them once to go shopping, the sock was already fraying. Also, the color of the soles bled through the fleece lining on my kid's foot. It was raining and I didn't expect them to be rainproof or like wellies, but I also don't want leather dye on my child's foot. They are not for toddlers or babies who can crawl or walk. I would not recommend them at all as the dyes could get on your child's feet.
