It's my fault for not double checking the install but when I was looking for a winix c545 filter this came up. It was reasonable and had decent reviews. The problem is that it doesn't fit my model. Of course I've waited too long and I can't get it back. I didn't need it right away so it's still in place and I don't need it. Aggravating.

I was glad to see these filters for the price and ordered two. They arrived today, looked great, well packaged and delivered on time. I took it out of the box, went to change the filter and very quickly found that I couldn't close the outer casing of the unit. Upon inspection I found that the filters are much wider than the original filters and therefore will not fit in the 5500-2. Disappointed as the website says. Sent them back immediately.

HEPA filters and activated carbon filters work great with my 5300-2 air purifier. An inexpensive way to replace filters, their quality is similar to the original Winix. It will be interesting to see if they last as long as the original filters. the filter width does not match the thickness of the carbon filters. So I cut off the end of one of the carbon filters and pressed it into place. Interestingly, the bottom of the filter was slightly larger than the gap on the right. Since the lower part was not torn off so badly, the insertion was a bit tedious. The filter itself appears to be the same as others I have purchased. This one didn't smell of smoke. I had a bad smell right out of the bag. Would I buy again at the right price because

. simply good. However, the paper filter is too thick to fit into the original equipment manufacturer's activated carbon filters. So you have to decide whether you want to use the more washable activated carbon granular filter that comes with the devices or use the disposable fine filters that come with this kit. Once you've made that decision, you'll know if this set is right for you or not.
