🚰 Clear Carafe with Lid - Anchor Hocking 492001100863, 1 LT Capacity Review

I love this carafe! I used to get tap water but decided to get two of these to keep in the fridge. Now my water is cool and I feel less like an animal when I drink water!

In the summer we keep water in the fridge with a few lemon wedges and this is the perfect size for this use. The plastic cover is a little flimsy, but we're just trying not to bend it too much. All in all a great coffee maker for the price!

These carafes were exactly what I was looking for. The glass is not too thick, but not so thin that it breaks easily either. It was easy to pour the liquid out of them. Although the lids are a bit fragile. After a run through the dishwasher, one of them already has a small tear.

We mainly use them for chilled reverse osmosis water, but they can also be used for various drinks (soda, wine, milk, etc.). I like the thickness of the glass, the slim shape and the emblem on the front. The only suggestion I have is to make the lid better. The plastic broke after a few months of use. Otherwise I would recommend it.

Satisfied I chose this one, we've seen decanters at a more modest price in stores (and here) but it's difficult to tell the quality from unknown evaluate brands. With durable products meant to last for years, I don't mind spending a little more to get the right look and better durability. The lid proved more useful than we expected, although I'm sure the carafe will last longer than the lid. It adds personality to our small dining table while being useful without taking up much space.

We have been using this decanter for about 9 months, it has been a pleasure to use. However, a day later, after a slight blow, it broke. And when it hit, it shattered into a thousand pieces - almost like a glass explosion. We have examined the kitchen and refrigerator closely and still find sharp pieces of glass. We've broken a lot in our time, but we've never seen anything like it.
