The initial cost is EXPENSIVE, but it's worth it in the long run.

Priced a bit expensive, but when using plastic or acrylic measuring cups. in the long run the price justifies the purchase. Plastic and acrylic measuring cups will eventually crack or at least show stress cracks, especially when exposed to heat and cold. Now I have 1 cup, 2 cups and now this 4 cups of oatmeal and I've had no problems with any of them. I even dropped one of them on the wooden floor where the floor has a dent but the measuring cup stayed in place. l So the ground is lost .LOL!

Pros
  • Made of strong and thick transparent glass.
Cons
  • Some problems.

Good measuring cup with a silly problem

This is an overall good product - solid, classic looking and it pours without dripping everywhere. The only oddity is the choice of notes. On the one hand they denoted liters, deciliters and milliliters, on the other hand glasses, half glasses and third glasses. That's all that unnecessary metric marking (it's a base 10 system - who needs marked deciliters?!? Just put milliliters and end! You can divide and multiply by 10!), and there are no quarter markings! -Cups! I think the ratings were set

Pros
  • Easy to read red measuring scale
Cons
  • Thin

My Favorite Design on Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets

Best Features: Spout, high sides, lowest measuring point (1/2 cup). With my two identical Pyrex measuring cups (another quart and pint), I'm a little impatient with pouring liquids - and liquids end up everywhere. This spout is really easy to pour. I got it mainly for making breakfast cereal in the microwave. It has tall sides, not squat ones, so it's less likely to boil over. Also, it has 1/2 cup as its lowest point - quarts like this often have 1 cup as its lowest point. I needed 3/4 cup and…
