Description of πŸ”Œ Ancor 230236 Insulated Electrical Insulation

5/16" Screw, 4 AWG, 1 Pack of Nylon Ring Terminals. Nylon insulators are easy to crimp and will not split. Barrels are designed to tightly grip the wire with the least effort. Ancor's Marine Grade terminals differ from automotive terminals by being designed for the harsh marine environment. Tinned copper gives the least electrical resistance but the most corrosion protection. Double crimp, funnel entry. UL 486C.

Wrong product description

"8 AWG" selected based on color photos. However, when the product arrived it was 10-12 AWG. Tried ordering again just to see what the problem was and found that selecting the photo "8 AWG" somehow added 10-12 AWG to the cart. There is no way to put 8 AWG in a shopping cart.

Excellent Marine Crimp

Excellent thick connector for use with ground/bond wire. These insulated clamps are of such high quality that I don't think there is a product on the market that can compete with them. As always, Ancor is a quality product and I would not recommend any other marine brand for this purpose. Make sure you have the right crimping tool for this and remember these are not heat shrink connectors!

Does not meet 8 AWG specifications.

This product does not meet the advertised specifications. It is advertised for 8 AWG wire but is actually rated for 10-12 AWG. Fitting shown with red insulator which is the industry standard for 8 AWG. The product shipped has a yellow insulator which is the industry standard for 10-12 AWG fittings. An 8 AWG wire will not fit into this fitting without cutting a few strands of wire, which is unacceptable. I returned the first order for the above reasons because I accidentally sent the wrong item…
