This Andis razor was bought for my stepfather. Here's what he says about it. I've been shaving with a straight razor for 40 years and now that I'm retired I need an electric shaver to take with me when I travel. It had a few months it worked fine and now the indicator is on and then go to charge the battery gets very hot and then it just works a few more minutes. It would be nice if they sent me a new one, but that probably won't happen.

Goods just received. The box was crumpled and unsealed. It's like someone found the box and put the recalled item inside. The device looks good, but when you open it, there is grease around the foil and no plastic around it. I think it was a used item or a recalled item that was repaired. For the price it's not worth buying as I received it. I highly doubt it's new. Very sad raven

I ordered this for my father in law because his old Andis razor stopped charging after a few years which by the way seems to be a common problem with this brand. I went as far as replacing the battery on his old model but the circuit board seems to be the problem. He received his new razor packaged in a Revain envelope with no box or instructions! He tried to use it but the charging base does not charge, the indicator does not light up and it does not work when connected directly to the shaver.

I was very skeptical about the electric shaver. I bought a straight razor and I didn't like it. My hairdresser recommended this Andis shaver to me, so I decided to give it a try. I usually shave every other day and unless I have a goatee I get shaving marks on my chin. This product shaves just as well as my old cartridge razors but I have to use it every day. I love this razor. All bristles are also selected. Don't be confused by other buyers. You don't know the difference between stubble and long hair. In the photos shown by others the hair is too long to be shaved off and needs to be trimmed first with clippers and then with a razor. Fast charging and long lifespan. People reload, which melts the razor. The TS-1 has issues with losing connection to the charging port and the battery not holding a charge. This model is better.

For the last two years I have shaved my face and head with a Panasonic arc4 electric shaver. I bought this Andis razor for several reasons: - It's not expensive to try (replacement head/Arc4 razors are $50 each!); - It's lighter than the larger/heavier Arc4; and- I was hoping to find a quicker solution that would be clean-shaven.
