I give 3 stars because if you need to keep water out and wash your ear, you need to make some adjustments to support this coverage. I recently had ear surgery and was frustrated because nothing was helping to protect my ear from water. The ear pads did it. It took a few tries, but it worked. I've found that if I wear cotton on my ear and then wear an ear pad with a thin layer of petroleum jelly on the cotton and also around the perimeter of the elastic on the ear pad, it keeps water out of my ear.

Fits better than most I've ordered in the past. Worked well for a post-surgical ear procedure. Definitely gave me the peace of mind I was looking for

I couldn't get my ear wet after the surgery. They worked great inside. I had to use common sense - it won't protect if you throw your head in the water, but if you're careful it will ensure your ear doesn't fill up with water.

It looks like a shower cap and is used to prevent water from getting into the ears. Of course, I put Vaseline on a small cotton swab and seal the entrance to the ear canals, and then I put a plastic cap on my ear. I had ear surgery so it really stops water getting into my ear canals.

I have chronic ear infections and I go to the hairdresser every two weeks so I don't have to get my inner ears wet. I use it conscientiously and it has made such a difference.

I bought it to use as extra protection for my ear in the water (shower or other body of water). I tested it in my soul. I didn't wash my hair so the water didn't come into direct contact with them. When washing my face, even trying not to bang it off, it just fell off. No effort to stay. The problem is that when they fit perfectly around the ear but leave nothing on my face to hold on to. I'll try again with double sided tape, maybe it will help. I don't really see that they are very effective…
