Not good for strong wind

I had high hopes for this product that is used for me to string lights off of for my sip n paint business. My studio is located in an area that gets high winds. They did stay staked in the ground but they bent a complete 45 degrees when we had our first strong wind storm. Also, they are not pointed at one end so it was hard to drive them into the ground.

Pros
  • Needed to stake holographic ribbon to scare geese.
Cons
  • Very flimsy, hard to drive into the ground and they break off in the wind!

Revainrating 3 out of 5

They are VERY flimsy - snap under the slightest weight or pressure.

Don’t recommend - very flimsy! Had to use two/three items in a single area to hold up the weight of the recommended fence weight. To get them to stand straight 50% of the item had to put into the ground, which in turn in NO GOOD if you have hold up a fence to warning people and keep animals out.

Pros
  • Used to stake tomato plants and green beans.
Cons
  • The stakes may not be flexible enough for certain plants

Supports for plants

Use as directed and you should be satisfied. I use these to support my indoor potted top heavy aloes that are almost 2 ft tall. They’re sturdy and well built. Should last a long time.

Pros
  • By keeping your plants healthy and secure, you'll save money on replacements and repairs in the long run
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in areas with high levels of salt in the soil

Kinda Flimsy - Needs

For my needs, these were perfect. I installed some temporary plastic fencing to keep my dogs out of a newly seeded section of my lawn. However, I'm not sure these would hold up to much force, and I do know pounding them into hard ground is futile. Most of my yard was relatively soft at the time, but when pounding into the harder sections, I had to be very careful not to bend the poles. They bend very easily, and you're going to lose most of the caps when you pull them out of the ground (no…

Pros
  • I am going to order me another pack
Cons
  • Risk of injury if not used properly

Very Good Steel Plant Stakes

These plastic coated steel poles are perfect for holding up my tomato plants in my garden. They're strong and re-usable for season after season if taken inside to store in the off seasons.

Pros
  • Sturdy and easy to install.
Cons
  • The packaging may not be environmentally friendly

they work great in pots

Im using them to trellis my tomatoes that are in pots. Just stick three in, tie them together at the top and instant trellis. I'll run a string up from the plant to the top of the poles and train the tomato up

Pros
  • Good and easy if in softer area, but if not down deap enough and the wind picks up they dont last much!!
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in areas with high winds

Good brace. good for me

These poles go in the ground fairly easy and are very good for tying plants to. Nice addition to gardening. That's my feedback!

Pros
  • what I ordered
Cons
  • The end tips that goes into the ground come off when stakes are pulled out. Very poor design

Do not purchase to hold up a Orange construction fence

I purchased this to hold up a Orange construction barricade. During slight wind these stakes will fold and break. I’m sure they will be ok as a light plant stake.

Pros
  • Convenient storage: The stakes can be easily stacked and stored when not in use, taking up minimal space
Cons
  • The stakes may become brittle over time

My tomatoes love them!

These are the best system I have used for staking up plants. I use them for everything in various lengths. Tomatoes, berries, dalias and lilies. Theb best thing is that one can expand the enclosed area without disturbing the plant. Very versatile.

Pros
  • Satisfaction guaranteed
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with plants that require a lot of support

Dependable and substantial

This is the second time I have purchased these. I prefer the 36” ones but these will be sufficient for general gardening next year. They are good for training small plants as they grow. I suggest getting the longer ones for tomatoes and cucumbers but these were a great value. I recommend these for any gardener, professional or amateur.

Pros
  • strong, sturdy stakes and easy to use
Cons
  • May not be suitable for large, heavy plants

Great Plant Stakes Like Home Depot for Much Less

I don't know what the people who thought these were supposed to be solid steel were thinking. Shipping alone on solid steel stakes this size would have been more than twice the total selling price. The stakes look almost identical to the Vigoro brand ones sold at Home Depot and cost about half as much including shipping. The do bend and break if you abuse them but so do the ones from Home Depot. They are not like fence posts for a chain link or heavy plastic fence but will more than adequately…

Pros
  • strong poles for my tomato plants
Cons
  • May not hold up well under extreme weather conditions

Good Stake, flexable

I used these to keep 35 baby evergreens straight as the roots expanded. Kept them in the ground for about 2-3 months. Really good purchase. They will do the job on young trees but don't expect it to straighten a larger tree since it's got quite a bit of flex to them.

Pros
  • Beyond their primary use in the garden, these stakes can be used for a variety of purposes, such as marking boundaries or keeping pets contained
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with plants that require a lot of air circulation

Not exactly 60 " long.

These are an inch short in case this will be an issue. I don't know yet how much this will be an issue but wish somebody in the company would have measured accurately. If you plan to use them to hold up a temporary plastic contractor fence, they won't hold up in wind. Bent at ground level.

Pros
  • Patio, Lawn & Garden
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with certain types of flowers or vegetables

Good tomato and bean stakes

I've been using this alone and also with various accessories offered by other sellers to make supports for tomatoes and beans, so far so good. Should have bought more! I have lots of indeterminate tomatoes growing and 5' doesn't seem high enough.

Pros
  • Safe: Smooth edges and rounded corners mean you won't cut yourself when handling these stakes
Cons
  • The stakes may become damaged if exposed to chemicals or pesticides

Garden stakes on my review.

Great stakes for my gladiolus. just purchased but only received 24 stakes. was supposed to be 25. I wouldn’t care but I have exactly 25 gladiolus so I’m short 1 stake.

Pros
  • Work as advertised.
Cons
  • The stakes may be too short for some applications

Great value for the money - but don't be an idiot and expect to make a snow fence with these garden stakes. I bought the 24" size and can easily push them into the soft garden soil at my summer home. However, my winter home has soil like concrete and as I expected, the stake will bend when hammered with a 3 pound sledge hammer. If you want snow fence stakes, then get "snow fence stakes" and do not misuse use garden stakes.Yes, they are steel - HOLLOW STEEL TUBES - with a green plastic coating…

bends easy on my review.

used this for a snow fence in back yard, had 30 mph winds today and broke a few and bent alot.these are what came with my order

Pros
  • Pack of 25
Cons
  • The stakes may break if stepped on or hit by a lawnmower

These are very well-made plant stakes. I've been using this type of stakes for years and these are, if anything, better quality than any I have purchased before. I am surprised by the negative reviews because they are not describing the product that I received by any stretch of the imagination. The only thing I can guess is that the stakes they received were different than the ones I just received. Perhaps the source of the product changed or a different seller sells a different stake that is…

Pros
  • 2.2 pounds
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in areas with animals that dig

Hollow center is very large

We bought these to drive into ground to post pictures of children who needed sponsors to go to school in the Philippines. At looking at the pictures, I was believing that they had a pointed end to drive into the ground. I would have been better off the take off the plastic ends to drive them in. Two of us drove the stakes, at least mine held because I was using a bigger hammer. I got what I paid for and will be able to use them all again next year. I guess that is the up side.

Pros
  • 24 x 2.36 x 2.36 inches
Cons
  • May be difficult to transport due to their length

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Strong, long lasting, wish they came in taller sizes

I use these for pepper plants (though next year I'm doing all cages), and they are very sturdy, lately the bamboo stakes I've always used are cracking/breaking down prematurely. They are easy to insert, I just wish they had 5ft and 6 ft lengths as my peppers grow giant and tall.

Pros
  • Well made; do the job well.
Cons
  • May be difficult to store due to their length
