This product did not reduce white dust for us. The humidifier we use is a regular room humidifier and is brand new and has only been used once prior to purchasing these capsules. There was no accumulation in the tank. I've tried using 2 capsules, running water through a Brita filter (although I've read that this doesn't affect mineral levels) and only using the humidifier on low speed.
