I don't like harsh bright lights so I wanted to use very low wattage bulbs for some areas, for example I have two table lamps in my bedroom and didn't want more than each 25 watts, so they emit a warm, pleasant light instead of x-rays. These lightbulbs worked like a charm. They also look great on any bulb or fixture and if they hold up as they say they will last, I can't ask for more. It's hard to find a low power LED light bulb to replace your old 15w incandescent bulbs: I thought this might be just the ticket. The size and shape are great, and the (muted) brightness and warm color are just what I wanted. However, they have a very annoying 120Hz flickering during operation. This is typical of cheap LED lights that run on AC power. Wanted to give a solid 5 star review until I screwed in the 24th bulb out of 3 boxes of 8 each: 24th bulb flickers and doesn't glow. 23 out of 24 bulbs are a 4% failure rate right out of the box. BTW, I tried to order a cheaper (per bulb) box of 16 bulbs, but for some inexplicable reason, maybe because I'm in California, 'they' (?) won't sell me the bigger box.
