This carafe is a good compromise between a large, fragile, high quality carafe and a simple carafe. Slightly smaller than expected but will fit in a 750ml bottle as long as you don't get stuck at the fill line which is at the max width point (I think people overestimate the importance of that anyway).

Very nice carafe. Looks like a thin crystal. When we first received them I had 2 thoughts. 1) They don't look like they would fit in a full 750ml bottle of wine. But it's easy. The second thought was that it wouldn't stand up to the heavy use in the restaurant. It's been over a month so far. But now we have a slow season so they didn't get much use. If they survive the summer season, I'll be thrilled! But so far very very satisfied.

For the price this carafe does the job well. It's smaller than I thought it would be, but it's the perfect size for a bottle of wine. Some decanters are just for show. I use this carafe in my restaurant and it has a semi-thick glass. Some carafes break easily, but this one is durable. This is a great carafe for those who want a simple carafe. There are so many decanters out there that are far prettier and more shapely, but if you're not trying to show off, just want to decant some wine, this is
