My filter has been making noise for over a year and it's almost like white noise to me. I had relatives over for dinner and some of them commented on the noise it made. Ordered this set of Aqua Tech hoses for my 30-60 gallon. Filter Aqua Tech. They fit perfectly and the only difference was that the original intake pipe was clear and the new one was black. It works great and I was pleasantly surprised when the "repair" of my original part didn't cost that much. But here is some more information from my original review, in case you have this situation too. This part didn't fit right away and I had to keep "playing" with it (moving it around and trying to get it to work properly).
