There's only one major dislike, the bubbles this thing makes bubbling, bubbling on the surface. Used with 10 gallon Tetra pump. Tried every way possible to get smaller blisters to calm him down. Bad luck. Everything else seems to be of good quality.

I couldn't believe these little filters would keep my aquariums clean but considering the price I decided to give them a try. Boy am I glad I did that. My water stays crystal clear and I no longer need filter media. I put two in my 20 gallon tank, one in each corner, and the water stays perfect. Very easy to clean and I can keep the good bacteria in my tank. I have since ordered 4 more packs and changed all the filters in my tanks.

Perfect filter for my 1.5 gallon Tetra Cube. Extremely easy to care for. Simply take out the sponge, rinse in the aquarium water during the weekly water change, put it back in, done. I have the dual sponge version in my 3 gallon cube and 5 gallon tank and the plus size dual sponge in my 20 gallon tank. Cleaning couldn't be easier. Nice that there are several foam filters included with the purchase to use in the future if needed. The suction on them doesn't actually keep the sponge in the water, even after the sponge is filled with water. The sponge keeps floating and the suction cups don't hold the device in place. I use it as a secondary filter in a 29 gallon planting aquarium with 2 female bettas, some other small fish, snails and amano shrimp. I suspect it does the job, but there's no way to know for sure, and I don't plan on using it alone any time soon.
