I used this to cover the side of my mantel to hide the 3 glued pieces of wood and it worked great. Makes my robe look like a solid piece of wood. It paints very well and is easy to cut with scissors.

We built a box to put the cloak on and to make it look like a large beam we had to close the end seams. I couldn't find anything subtle locally, but luckily I found this on Amazon! Amazing results! It is easy to process, easy to paint. I did everything myself in about 20 minutes round trip! It was a huge life saver!

I agree with my previous reviewers that this is just an overpriced piece of cheap laminate. I first bought this just to test out a project before investing in more laminate, but what I got is almost useless. Despite being shipped in a large box, the item arrived wrinkled and dented. In my opinion it's really not worth the time and money.

Perfect for the sheath mantel finish I built to cover my fragile brick mantel. I had to apply extra wood glue around the edges and secure the piece for extra insurance in case someone falls down the chimney. This product has met all my expectations and I am already planning what I will use it for next. Floating shelves tip? A hidden compartment on a new mantel? We will see.
