WHAT KIND OF ANIMAL! on camping & hiking

This iron rod will last for YEARS! This thing is definitely heavier than the smaller ones, but the larger diameter means more area is discharged, which in turn results in more sparks. This makes it easier to start a fire in my opinion. Whilst you can buy 2 smaller rods for this price I would still buy these again if I ever lost mine. By far the best Ferrode I've ever bought!

Ideal for any trip

This is the perfect size for the outdoor enthusiast who loves quality and durability. This rod is durable and great for long trips outdoors and around the campfire. Couldn't be easier or quicker to use. I use it in all my falconry, hiking and outdoor adventures. I've had the last one for over a year with weekly use. Great buy, works when wet, burns strong enough to ignite wet wood.

BACKPACKERS FRIEND on Outdoor Recreation

This is Ferro Rod's base camp. Not for ultra-light hiking or trekking. I use this rod for home and car rides. The shower sparkles. A preparatory and an injection movement are sufficient. Using a fixed head/back of a knife at a 90° angle will cause hot sparks. Lots of techniques to hit, but I set my rod firmly on the tip of my base tinder. This rod will accompany me for a lifetime. A quality rod is here. If you keep it away from or near salt water, always cover any damaged areas of the wand with

This is not a ferro rod. THIS IS A FERROLINE!

That's right, this is a Crocodile Dundy sized ferro rod that with proper use and care will last a lifetime! What most people don't realize is that ferrorods PARTICULARLY corrode when exposed to salt water! Protect your ferrorods, whatever the brand. Size matters! If you get wet in the cold, you urgently need a fire! Fine motor skills are gone! Gross motor skills (large muscle movements) are your only chance. Then these tiny, needle-sized ferrorods are as useful as an ice cube to start a fire…

That lasts a lifetime!

This thing is great! Its thickness makes it easy to hold and maintain during a hit, and it's long enough to create a great spark. That lasts a lifetime. Weight doesn't matter if you want a durable ferro rod, so stop crying about some of the things you're carrying around that will help you survive. It generates enough to cook something if you want, and it's a one-time addition to your bushcraft or camping arsenal. If you're constantly complaining that the ferro rods you keep buying don't produce
