Description of 🔥 ARCTIC MX-4 (with Spatula, 8 g) - High-Performance Thermal Paste for CPUs, GPUs - PC, PS4, XBOX- Enhanced Thermal Conductivity, Longevity, Safe Application, Non-Conductive

WELL PROVEN QUALITY: The design of our thermal paste packagings has changed several times, the formula of the composition has remained unchanged, so our MX pastes have stood for high quality. EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE: ARCTIC MX-4 thermal paste is made of carbon microparticles, guaranteeing extremely high thermal conductivity. This ensures that heat from the CPU/GPU is dissipated quickly & efficiently. SAFE APPLICATION: The MX-4 is metal-free and non-electrical conductive which eliminates any risks of causing short circuit, adding more protection to the CPU and VGA cards. HIGH DURABILITY: In contrast to metal and silicon thermal compound, the MX-4 does not compromise over time. Once applied, you do not need to apply it again as it will last at least for 8 years. EASY TO APPLY: With an ideal consistency, the MX-4 is very easy to use, even for beginners.

Aqueous? Why? on Computers & Accessories

So I've used thermal grease (various brands) in the past and never had that experience until I tried this 2019 version of the MX4! So I applied and installed anyway, thinking maybe that would still work, but no, it has bad results. My Macbook is currently 60°C*, before the thermal paste replication it was only 49-55°C. So I think this version is not good? Or something is wrong with the pasta. To return.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Doubt

Update: Great paste ruined by bad consistency. Old review: 8g of thermal paste that actually works for less than $12 was the best part. advertised in tests you will see on youtube. My issue is that after it hit level 3 gauge it started to get watery but after just a few squeezes it returned to its normal consistency so I couldn't get any good photos. This can be an inconvenience and nuisance for such a delicate component! If this happens again I'll definitely lower my rating, but I'm hoping it…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Maddening

15C difference: thermal paste and pads

Almost the best choice, AS5 is a good choice too, but you only get 0.6W/mK difference for almost double the price AND I HAVE 8 GRAMS OF MATERIAL . I can rebuild my two GPUs and my CPU 4 times a year for 6 years no doubt! To put it simply, I've replaced my AS5 which I haven't touched in over 5 years (negligence I know, but I've never pressed it until now) on my 4790k and I have a 3°C difference at startup and 15°CC temperature difference °C after 8 minutes of Prime95. So, with OEM watches…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Slightly torn

I replaced the old OEM thermal paste on my late 2010 Lenovo ThinkStation S20 with this one. I've tried the "5 point" method and the "pea sized ball" method (using a slightly larger ball due to the larger chipset/IHS on the old hexacore Xeon W3680 processor). I did before and after measurements and noted the ambient temperature with the BIOS set to "normal" fan control. I found: 1) Using the "pea sized ball" method outperformed the "5 point" method on my Xeon) with an MX-4, but with much lower…

Always use MX-4 but throw away spatula

I've built countless PCs over the years and have always preferred this product. You don't need this spatula, just place a pea-sized drop in the center of the CPU and then gently press down on the heatsink. You will get much better results as the paste will be more evenly distributed this way. Standard fan at moderate load: Package ID 0: +32.0 °C (High = +80.0 °C, Crit = +98.0 °C) Core 0: +29.0 °C (High = +80, 0 °C, Critical = +98.0 °C) Main 1: +29.0 °C (High = +80.0 °C, Critical = +98.0 °C)…

Pros
  • . It is OK!
Cons
  • No Insurance

The fan runs less afterwards on a Thinkpad T440p

I bought a used T440p which I noticed had a high CPU fan frequency, especially when scrolling up and down in Safari. A lot of thermal paste was applied to the CPU and heat spreader and it looked fine, but I wiped it off, didn't apply any special thermal paste and put it back. No changes; The fan turned on at the same frequency as before. After doing a little research online, I found this and another thermal paste with an almost cult following. I simply replaced the thermal paste with this MX-4…

Pros
  • Brilliantly done

Good thermal compound for general use

Arctic has always been a good thermal compound for building computers by many enthusiasts over the years. This pasta is no different. For this price you get a lot of paste for attaching multiple coolers to CPUs. However, I didn't know before I bought it that it is NOT recommended for overclocking and that Arctic Silver 5 is Arctic's best overclocking paste. I really think it should be advertised as such which doesn't detract from the quality of this paste as not everyone uses overclocking it's…

Pros
  • EASY TO USE: Thanks to its perfect consistency, MX-4 thermal compound is very easy to apply even for beginners
Cons
  • High price
