I bought it in a warm color but definitely a cool shade. The packaging says heat, so it's a product design issue. Several other reviews have said the same thing, so if you want warm light I suggest looking elsewhere. However, the light quality is excellent, but the light tone is not right.

The perfect addition to our family room! Originally wanted them to stand in our long hallway but decided to level the wall in our common room. An ideal light source that is pleasing to the eye and provides enough light throughout the room! Easy to install, all necessary mounting hardware is included. Not bad for the price. Don't trust the pictures. I was looking for one with a specific connector shape (round, 2 pins) so I wouldn't have to redo old LED strips. The warm white photos show that it has a 2 pin round connector, but that is not the case. One edge of the inside knit is flat and beveled, as if you shaved off the top 15% of the circle. When I first opened the box they looked a bit anemic compared to the regular round strips we always bought locally. I bought 3 sets of these to put around the deck railing. They were easy to put on and connect as the day was over forty and they weren't stiff. They're all lit, and on all of our 28-degree nights, they also light up the ground below. I used this set of lights for under cabinet lighting and they worked great. The small screws were a little fiddly and really not good for self-tapping (a small mandrel to poke a hole in the wood which I use to fasten light fasteners did the trick. While this isn't a Hughes problem, if you plan to insert them in the down position, be aware that this is not the best gear.
