Works great, bleeds brakes quickly and easily

I was confused after reading some of the reviews but bought it anyway. This bleed valve works great for me, even at full regulator pressure (90psi). My best luck came when I removed the black suction adapter and slipped the clear hose directly over the descenders themselves. Be sure to clean your device when you're done and it will serve you well.

Pros
  • Hands free operation

  • Hard to tell

Feel free to buy now!

Works as advertised. Make sure you have a large tank compressor. Turn on the bleeder, pull the trigger and latch the barley bleeder and watch as air and liquid exit the line. I wish I had had this many years ago. I've been a mechanic for 40 years. With this tool it is very easy to bleed the brakes yourself. Look for and add coarse liquid after the pro rolling of each wheel. Happy bleeding!

Quick and easy

This is a great fluid changing tool. I started revitalizing my 20 year old scooter and noticed the brake was soft. I checked the reservoir, it is empty, air has already entered the system. I tried the usual method with my son, a two person job to no avail, took a hand pump and spent 45 minutes pumping out some air but it took forever. Then I found Ares, it fit perfectly and in less than 10 minutes the job was done.

Great tool, works great!

This is the perfect tool for working on the brakes alone. After installing new pads, rotors and brake lines, the pedal feel was spongy and barely responsive. As soon as I opened the bleed valve and started this tool, a lot of air bubbles and old liquid were sucked out. I did all 4 calipers and then pressed the brake pedal, it feels like a brake on a new car. And all 4 calipers only took about 20 minutes. I highly recommend this tool. Easy to use. Workshop air/compressor must be available.

It works and is easy to use

This was my first brake bleeder so I have no comparison. However, it was easy to use and it worked. I used it on a motorcycle and was surprised to see a lot of air bubbles in the lines even when the tank was full. I didn't have any problems with the brakes so I don't know what it is. I thought maybe the connection was leaking so I pushed the connector onto the nipple but nothing changed. The brake fluid didn't leak, so I think it was sealed. Despite this, it worked without any problems and theโ€ฆ

  • Obsolete model

Make sure the vent thread is closed.

At first I could NOT bleed the line even if I opened the fitting because the air would bypass the threads until I put yellow teflon tape (oil and chemical resistant) on it to hold the air in out through the threads on the bleed ports. If you have this problem, simply apply some sealant to the bleeder threads and bleeding air with this tool will be a breeze. In addition, there is not much suction, so it is mainly air that is sucked in, not liquid. I hope this helps someone else if I had known it

Works like clockwork, but has a catch

This device works on the Bernoulli principle. High-velocity air creates a vacuum that draws in brake fluid. The spec says it works at 71psi, but it also works at lower pressures like 55. The real problem with the product description is that it lacks the amount of air needed to create a vacuum. I have a small 6 gallon air compressor that ended up working but had trouble getting the air to flow. According to the compressor spec it's 2.5cfm at 90psi but it can't handle 90psi so I think thisโ€ฆ

Where has this been all my life and why didn't I know about it? I've bled hundreds of brakes in my life, but never has it been so easy. I've always used the gravity method, the manual brake bleed method, or more recently the manual vacuum pump. Enter the world of vacuum deaerators with an air compressor! Simply connect the air compressor to the device, crack the bleed screw and pull the handle. You are instantly treated with a smooth, steady stream of liquid that oozes out. When you're doneโ€ฆ

Finally a great tool!

While I'm not a mechanic, I've done my part to bleed and bleed the brake fluid. I own a few cars and do a lot of off-road driving, plus I've been racing and 'training' at circuits for a while. I'm not even sure how many brake bleeder kits and tools I've tried over the years, but they've all let me down, and there never seemed to be anyone around who could help me take it the "old fashioned" way way to make. I was fixing the brake lines on an old jeep my wife put on me and I "need" a new set ofโ€ฆ
