I like this immobilizer because it is easy to use and the velcro straps are strong and versatile. I prefer this over a sling because it doesn't need to be pulled around the neck and is easier to put on with one hand.

There's a lot more to this immobilizer than just the part that holds your shoulder in place. This is a very wide piece that cuts into the crook of your elbow. At least that was the case with my elderly mother. I ended up removing the strip from another immobilizer and stitching it to this one after removing the one that came in the kit. Finally we have the perfect immobilizer.

1. Liked the material, much better, softer and more breathable than the hospital machine.2. The product was too short. I assumed the size was waist related, but the device rides above your waist. Had to use a bracelet to get more length.3. Velcro, why can't product engineers understand that the loop side needs to be wider than the hook side so you don't get scratched. The hook side should never be exposed.

I hate slings. They pull at my neck and my shoulders, these are exactly my problem areas. It immobilized my shoulder enough to reduce pain and inflammation without putting additional strain on my neck, shoulder, and upper back. It's a bit shorter between wrist strap and wrist strap, but I like it when awake because I can still type with my left hand, and when I'm asleep it gives me some freedom of movement.

First of all, the size of the initial purchase was listed as one size. I held my breath. 2nd was on the way to LG, 3rd was ok. But the bracelet was awkwardly placed and ended up wrinkling in my pressure sore area. I suggest it has an adjustable vertical strap to thread the band around and wrap it around your arm in the right spot on your arm. The strap starts to irritate the wrist as it hangs at an odd angle. It would be more comfortable if the hand would slide into the open glove-like holder.

It's been a few weeks since the injury but I still have to restrict my arm. The band around my lower chest means there is no strain on my neck which has been an issue with other slings. I can still use my hand with it, so I'll actually wear it. I don't mind the shoulder strap, but I might wear one to impress my doctor so I don't have those shoulder to wrist sprints :-) The only downside I see is that it proves all the weight , which I DJ while staying at home during Covid-19 got in my stomach…
