My new favorite painting set. I mainly work with charcoal and graphite. This little graphite glass saves me a lot of time by covering large areas of my drawings. It can be made very dark or left lighter. It leaves a natural texture which I like. It is the most forgiving stretcher I have ever used as it can be easily reactivated and recycled. Fun product. Good environment for watercolourists. Ranges from very dark to very light depending on how much water is used. Slightly shiny due to the graphite content. After drying, it becomes matte, but rubbing can make it shiny. Test different paper; it reacts slightly differently depending on the nature of the paper. This thing is damn cool. I don't even know where to start - okay, the glass is really good for starters. It's small, light, the only extra weight is the graphite inside. It measures just under 2 inches in diameter and just over half an inch thick. It fits easily in a pocket or purse and takes up little space unlike a watercolor kit.
