Description of 🪡 Beadalon Collapsible Eye Needles 2.5-Inch Heavy 4 Pack (700H-100): High-Quality Artistic Wire for Artisans

Flexible. Particularly nice for stringing beads that have very small holes. Extra-spring wire is kink-resistant. Specially designed eye that automatically collapses and instantly reshapes when it is pulled through the bead. The large eye is easy to thread and accommodates many sizes of cord.

Useful but not durable

I needed them to attach tiny beads and tiny buttons to items I was crocheting for my new granddaughter. The needle must be flexible enough to fit through the tiny holes in the beads and buttons used to knit hats and shoes. These needles did exactly what I bought them to do. Because of the flexibility required, these needles are very thin and fragile, so they don't last long. The packaging is poorly made so the needles don't stay in the packaging making it even more difficult to lose or break…

Pros
  • Extra kink resistant spring wire
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

lightweight

Although listed as heavy, they are quite fragile. I use them for hand stitching leather after punching holes with an awl. If the hole is big enough for the needle and thread to fit through, there is no problem. But if the needle or thread gets stuck and I have to pull with more force, the needle bends and becomes difficult to use. I'm not sure I'll use them again in my current application.

Pros
  • Specially designed eyelet that automatically folds and instantly changes shape when pulled through the bead
Cons
  • Not sure

Thread Doesn't Fray, Strong: My New Favorite Beading Needle

I don't know why I absolutely can't thread a regular beading needle, but I just can't, and I've broken dozens of these little needle threaders. So I relied on "big eye" needles, where the needle is actually two pieces of wire connected at the top and bottom, and you use your fingernail to cut it open and insert the thread. They thread easily, but the sharp inner ends are quick to tear nymo and other lightweight threads to pieces. They are only sold in small weights at your local crafting supply

Pros
  • Flexible
Cons
  • Some Mistakes
