How does the pencil sharpener work?

The range of colors in the box matches what my partner needs to work with her color-by-number books. Excellent! But we bought this set of 50 pencils instead of another set primarily because it claimed to include a pencil sharpener. It has something that the ads say is a pencil sharpener, but we have no idea how it works. No instructions and no reference to a website that tells us how to use it. We are OK for now, but at some time soon, we will need to find a sharpener to let my partner continue

Pros
  • Hubby bought them and I love them
Cons
  • The colors may not be as vibrant as advertised

Great buy!: my feedback

I love these watercolor pencils! Great price and quality. The only issue I had was with the packaging. It did not indicate anywhere on the package that they were watercolor pencils and I thought they had mistakenly sent regular color pencils. Make sure to test with water before use!

Pros
  • Inspires imagination
Cons
  • The lead may be too hard or scratchy for some users' preferences

Excellent pencils! A must buy!

I bought these pencils 3xs as gifts for friends and they love them! Smooth vivid colors! I want a box for myself now! That's my feedback.

Pros
  • These are a good starter set. Came packaged good and quality again is starter.
Cons
  • The pencils may be too lightweight or flimsy

Not bad for the price, but.

Overall, for the price, this isn't a bad set. However, don't trust the printed color names or even the wrappers on the pencils. Many, almost half, of the pencils were mislabeled (ex: the violet pencil had a blue wrap and was named cerulean and vice versa; a maroon pencil was labeled "Marshmallow".). I highly suggest having a piece of scratch paper and testing each pencil before using it on your work. Also, the sharpener that came with the set is AWFUL!On the positive side, the pencils…

Pros
  • Painting, Drawing & Art Supplies
Cons
  • The set may not be suitable for professional or advanced artists

Excellent colored pencils, and a good price!

I love colored pencils- they're my favorite drawing and coloring medium- and these are excellent! They are right up there in quality with Prismacolor, and possibly lay an even more intense coat of pigment. than the Prismacolor ones.I use an electric sharpener, and have not had any problems with the leads breaking off when sharpened. The only disadvantage is that the box does not open nicely to make all the colors easily visible and accessible; a stepped set-up would be a lot nicer.Still- very…

Pros
  • Perfect for coloring, drawing, and sketching
Cons
  • The set may not include any pastel or muted colors

I find myself quite unimpressed with this set of colored pencils. They are creamy and include several colors that are different than what I've found in all my sets of colored pencils. They flake under small amount of pressure to page. I like that the names of the colors are written on the barrels however, one of the colored pencils labelled Cerulean is definitely no where near that color. It is the same color as one of the purple pencils in the set. Overall I would look another brand and don't…

Pros
  • Works well on various types of paper
Cons
  • The colors may not be opaque enough for certain projects

Not erasable: my feedback

Pencils were nice and soft, very little drag on the paper & would be great for coloring, however they are not erasable (they did not claim to be) and do not work for the purpose for which I bought them. Will keep for future use.

Pros
  • Drawing
Cons
  • The colors may bleed through some types of paper

Great for adult coloring

These colored pencils come in a variety of colors. They work very well and are a great deal! They also come with a sharpener, which is an added bonus! Would highly recommend for the occasional adult coloring book user.

Pros
  • Easy to erase mistakes
Cons
  • The lead may wear down unevenly or at an angle

great product in my review

Wonderful! The pencils are great quality, lead doesn't break with use, sharpen easily, and have bright colors. Have purchased several for gifts.

Pros
  • Pencils
Cons
  • The pencils may not be eco-friendly or sustainably sourced

Draw a new box and you're good!

Pencils were great, the box is a pain to get the pencils out of. They would benefit from rethinking the packaging. Highly pigmented.

Pros
  • Highly pigmented
Cons
  • The lead may be too waxy or greasy for some users' preferences

Good quality; Colors could be better

Great quality pencils. Was a bit disappointed in the color selection as there are so many pencils in this set. But it seems some of them have a VERY similar color and therefore not as much variety as I would have liked. For example, there is no true "pink,” but rather two that are labeled pinks but have a purplish tone.

Pros
  • Great value for the price
Cons
  • The packaging may be difficult to open or reseal

49/50, literally. for my opinion

Great ser of colors and pencils, except "daddy brown," which isna piece of wood and no pencil. seriously, it is a hollow piece of wood. At least, it's not one of the more vibrant colors.

Pros
  • Great for creating artwork for display
Cons
  • The pencils may not be easily distinguishable from one another

Very pretty colors - my new review

The lead is quite soft so they don't hold a point very long. One has to keep sharpening them and that looses too much pencil too fast

Pros
  • Smooth Lines - Use these smooth sketch pencils for color mixing and blending, as well as practicing more detailed techniques. The perfect colored pencil for any artist!
Cons
  • The set may not include any neutral or earth-tone colors

Great for children and beginners!

I admit that I am biased because my preferred choice are prismacolor soft core pencils and those are tough competition to match, much less beat. However, my budget made me hopeful that these would get me through until I could afford to splurge on my first choice.I do want to say. These are not horrible at all! But there is definitely room for improvement. Some of the colors need way too much pressure or too many coats to get any color payoff from them. Some of them seem to have something in…

Pros
  • Easy to sharpen
Cons
  • The pencils may not be suitable for use on glossy surfaces

Perfect for Mom: my feedback

My mom has dementia, and we've recently discovered that she loves coloring books. These pencils are perfect. So many colors and love that it comes with a sharpener. She colors so much, we have already purchased a second box of these for her! During these times there's not a lot for her to do outside safely, so coloring is a great source of entertainment for her.

Pros
  • GREAT SPECTRUM OF COLORS.
Cons
  • The pencils may be too small for some users' preferences

Not 72 Unique Colors

There are supposed to be 72 unique color. There are several duplicates. They seem to be good pencils even if there are duplicates.

Pros
  • Excellent color payoff
Cons
  • The set may not include any shades of white or black
