I wanted the microphone adapter to be held somewhere so I didn't have to attach it to my helmet. the perfect solution. really solid case and thoughtful design.

Great stuff, now I have a place to attach a mic adapter without a strap, or some impromptu work on a GoPro housing. I will say DO NOT RESET THE MIC CLAMP! When receiving the goods, pay attention to the position of the clip. This is the only position where you can remove the clamp. If you put it on the wrong way round it will lock and you won't be able to take it off!

I bought it a few days ago and it fits Gopro Hero 6 and Hero 7 Black perfectly. Also fits perfectly with a Rode mic and has room to insert a Gopro 3.5mm mic adapter. The audio is 10 out of 10. This is a must have if you record any type of video wirelessly with a gopro. Easily record and edit videos directly from the Gopro app. Brilliant. Quality at the highest level. For the price you can't go wrong with it.

This thing is phenomenal, it keeps everything in order. Sometimes a GoPro just lives with a fish eye so you can catch a glimpse of the mic on the boom, but it's great, just make sure you give it a natural round basket when you install it and then plug it in

I bought another cage (which didn't have an audio compartment) and it's a very nice all-metal unit. I expected that. But if it's durable and the plastic doesn't break down over time, the lighter weight would be an advantage. As long as it's awesome.

So far I love this product. Got it the other day and put together my whole kit along with my Joby Gorilla Pod, GoPro Hero 5 Black and Rode mic. The only thing I could see as a downside is the fact that it's made out of plastic not metal and if I drop or drop my GoPro only time will tell if the plastic will hold up but the price and those Ease of use are just fantastic especially how it holds the GoPro mic adapter.

Overall for $15 this is a good product. It houses a ridiculously large adapter to convert USB-C to an audio jack for connecting a microphone. The cold shoe is part of the body and looks good quality. Unfortunately, the factory door of the GoPro H20proof needs to be removed, which I don't think should be done in the usual way. I've seen that in competing models as well. The case is nowhere near waterproof, large holes for the camera part and I'm not sure what the security feature would be.

I bought this case for the cold shoe mount and mic adapter jack. This is the perfect case if you want to vlog. It's really light and seems strong enough to protect the GoPro from reasonable falls. The microphone adapter socket keeps the adapter in place without wobbling. It does seem to put some pressure on the cable when plugged in, but my adapter is new and the cables on it are quite stiff so it can loosen over time.
