Great but be careful.

Great lamp for your reptiles. forever. perfectly made lightbulbs. However, be careful when choosing between 25 watt and 50 watt bulbs. Only buy 50 watt bulbs if your cabinet is very tall and needs to be heated to around 80-100 degrees. I have a 36x18x24 reptile enclosure for my bearded dragons. Its warm-up point with a 50-watt lightbulb is around 100 degrees, and the ambient temperature inside the case is around 80-90. 25 watts will be more than enough for non-desert animals, I promise you.

Great bulb and works as it should.

We had to replace our lightbulb that we use for our Dubia roach colony. Yes, cockroaches. LOL We breed them for our bearded dragons and leopard geckos as it greatly reduces costs and teaches my kids more responsibility and knowledge. It provides enough warmth to support and encourage cockroach breeding. These red lights or other red lights should always be used on reptiles. But they have a purpose in other areas. No problems as described.

One lightbulb for 2 years! Wonderful!

I would buy a new 50 watt light bulb about once or twice a month because it had burned out. I've tried all brands and none have lasted long. In November 2017 I purchased a 25w Zilla blue fluorescent halogen bulb and mini dome to match. It's December 2019 and today the light bulb burned out. That's over 2 years on a single lightbulb running 12 hours a day, every day. I've saved so much on lightbulbs and electricity in the last 2 years (25 watts gives as much heat as 50 watts). This is the best…

Short term heat output

It's been three days now and works great for our baby bearded dragon. It sits on a 40-gallon tank and a softball-sized rock heats up to 102 degrees. I will update when life is short but so far I am satisfied. Tip: Halogen bulbs have a shorter lifespan if you touch them with bare hands. Therefore, use a glove, sock or something else to prevent sebum from coming into contact with the lamp. Wadate: Heat dissipation decreased quickly. 102 quickly became 90. We had to add a second light to keep our…

True burn in of the best bulbs

I bought two. The first lasted only three days after installation. My cat accidentally knocked over the lamp and a second later it fell to the ground, the bulb burned out. Yes. right, DELETE. NO BREAK. It just didn't work anymore. A small splinter broke off at the bottom, but not enough to kill him. It was just a chip. Blue is still dead. The second was ordered to replace the first. it has been lost. I had to reorder. He died the first day I installed him after he got here. The same thing. The…

Fiction! Energy saving in everything!

Wow! This suction cup dissipates a little heat. My water level reaches the top of a regular old 75 gallon tank (no strainer), my dragon's sunstone raises it about 3 inches off the bottom. He warmed up enough that he had to move. Got my lightbulb. I couldn't see a reptile in the mini Zilla dome that needed more heat than this thing. prevent the bulb from burning out prematurely. I will definitely buy more (as a reserve). If your house is unnecessarily cold, this is all you need. I'm interested…

Safe and effective: Bulbs

I love these heat bulbs as I now have 3 different watts. I first ordered a blue 25w daylight bulb which worked great in the summer, but in the winter I had to switch to a blue 50w bulb. If anyone needs help, my house is 68 degrees Fahrenheit and a 25 watt fluorescent light bulb kept my 18" 18" 24" at about 70 degrees after a few hours of initial setup. 50 watt fluorescent lights keep the tank temperature between 76 F - 85 F. This is perfect for my white tree frog.. I ordered a 25 watt red night

HOT & Small Halogen Bulb Item

I installed this bulb with a sock. You don't want to touch a halogen bulb with your bare hands. Oils and dirt/dust on the skin can reduce the efficiency of the lamps. It will also shorten the lamp life. The temperature of the piston was measured at a distance of approximately 13.5 inches during normal hours of operation. I measured the temperature with both a probe and an IR thermometer. The gun was about 12 inches away and aimed directly at the probe. At 13.5 inches, the temperature of my…

Surprisingly cheerful

I love this light! I was looking for a compact heat source and this one suited my needs. I was concerned that 25W would be too little, but it puts out an amazing amount of heat at just 25W. I think their description that their 25 watts are equivalent to 50-75 bulbs is accurate! I run it as a spot run on my leopard gecko's Exo Terra 24x18x12 (I also run under tank heat). I originally placed it about 4 inches above a flat rock and found it got too hot to touch the rock so I had to adjust it a bit
