Great timer perfect for the classroom. There are only two minor inconveniences when using this product. 1) You need to start it fully and then set it to the time you want. and 2) you also have to take it off the board to wind it up, otherwise it will just slide across the board. Again, these things are minor and I have no problem with them at the moment, but I just want others to know. I highly recommend this product for the classroom!

I bought one of these for my mother who was 85 when she could drink hot tea in the morning. When she left I brought the timer and put it on the fridge. Broke after about a year of little use. I decided to buy another one thinking I bought a defective one the first time but I got the same result. Not only are they no longer offered except by one seller, but they've doubled in price! I should have read the reviews before I bought them.

I use it all the time in my high school class. It's big enough for the students to see if I put it on the desk, but more often I put it under the document camera. It seems cheap but I've dropped it on the floor a few times and it's fine. Set it to less than ten minutes if you want it to ring when it hits zero. I like it because it's big, easy to use, easy for students to read, buzzes loud enough to hear during student activities, and calls short enough not to be disruptive (about 3-4 seconds).

My product arrived quickly and I was very happy with this timer as it seemed to have decent reviews. However, it didn't work as described. I followed the rewind instructions (and didn't rewind), set the 5 minute mark and waited. and waited. and waited. After about 30 seconds of ticking it gets stuck and then starts and stops while moving but never completes the timing. I was arguing between this product and digital.
