Not your usual Cumulus - hard sole and hard suit

I've been running in the Cumulus for a number of years now and while the design has changed over the years - and sometimes not for the better - they still offer performance with plenty of cushioning flexible and comfortable. Something happened this year. Maybe I just don't know, but they are similar to their other stiffer shoe, the Asics Flyte. Having returned them and bought an Asics Nimbus for the first time in my life, I feel like they are more like Cumulus a few years ago.

  • Ease of use

Great for arch support

I'm between a size 7.5 and 8 and usually buy 8 for running shoes. They felt a little tight and tight, especially in socks, but I probably wouldn't have gotten an 8.5. It is very comfortable! I have supination, a cleft shin and weak ankles and this shoe supports me really well with great arch support. I ran 7 miles in them and they didn't need to be broken in. They were soft and so comfortable. I could definitely tell a difference from my old running shoes (Asics Gel Contend 4).

Best shoes for high arch/underpronators

I have high arch and plantar fasciitis so I get severe pain after long walk/run. These are the best running shoes I've ever had! They have excellent arch and ankle support and are flexible and springy (like on a trampoline). I used to wear Gel Nimbus but they have better arch support and are great for arch support. Just ran 5 miles in it: no leg pain! And they cost less than the Gel Nimbus. I immediately ordered a second pair in a different color. I love her.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I won't say anything

They didn't come back. Sorry

I've been buying Cumulus (as well as Kayanos and Nimbus) for years - a shoe that has been the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. It was terrible. My arches hurt after 30 minutes. The upholstery of the previous models is completely gone. I've tried replacing every insole I've had (I've never had to do this with ASICS as I also buy Nimbus and Kayano models) and it just hurts. Draft. I had to send back the last three models. I kept them and I'm sorry because I don't think I'll wear them again.

Pros
  • Nice to use
