ASICS Gel Scram Running Shoes Irvine Review

I have always bought Asics Gel running shoes because they fit my feet best. I choose trail running shoes because I feel like typical street shoes don't support me enough. I really like the style and colors of the Gel Scram 4. I can wear them to run, to work or just for a walk. The only downsides to this shoe are that the laces are too short and the insole is disappointingly thin and flat. I can buy new laces but I doubt I can find the exact same color and style. I've had several pairs of ASICS over the years and always wear a 11. They are too tight and I think 11.5 would be better. They're just too cozy. I figured they might just need a good warm up as trail running shoes are stiffer, but I've put a few miles on trails and a few runs and they still haven't loosened up too much in terms of fit. I fucking love these shoes. This is my second pair, one for running and one for work. I am an emergency room nurse and can attest that they are very good at walking and standing 12-14 hours a day. I have very wide feet so I am limited in my shoes, they are amazing! I had all versions of Scram. 4 By far the worst. The insoles are NOT REMOVABLE! They're just flat foam pads that don't have any contours when they hit the edge of the shoe. The toe material started to delaminate after very moderate wear. I don't know why they have fishnet socks because they don't let air through at all.

Asics fits my size. I wear 13 at Saucony and Asics. The shoes arrived and I was happy with how they looked as I had limited choices due to my shoe size. Put it on, lace it up, sit perfectly, what more could you ask for? How about comfortable shoes? NO NO NO. it's ASICS. that's all i have to say, really. I've been buying ASICS for over 10 years, the low price and high quality can hardly be beat. I wear them to work every day, stand on concrete floors and change my shoes once a year. I didn't have to try them on to know they fit and are comfortable. I laced them up and got to work. In other words, buy them, you won't be disappointed!

This pair of shoes does not match the advertisement. They say it's a gel. No, that is not so. It is made in the form of a gel. They are very heavy on your feet. The shoes look like you have wooden blocks on your feet. Normally I wear size 8, but with ASICS I take size 9. These size 9 run much smaller. They are very narrow and short. I would give them a 7.
