Counterfeit or second choice

Counterfeit or second choice I don't know what I've bought these shoes (new version every time) in the last 12 years. The glue started to peel off the sole and the shoe fell apart the second time around. I've never had this before. The picture doesn't really look like a shoe either.

Pros
  • There's something there
Cons
  • Crumpled

Not suitable for running

The fit is very different from previous Asics running shoes. I've been buying Asics exclusively as running shoes for the past 7-8 years. This shoe is narrower. There is almost no arch support. This is the first Asic I've gotten a healing blister on (including marathons and half marathons). I feel every step. Will definitely be buying another pair for racing, they are being relegated to sneakers.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • I'll write later

Go up a size.

Works a bit and I'm mostly up to 8.5W. Now I just bought a 9W for long distance running. This is my first time trying this brand, I have a wide foot due to bursitis and my foot gets wider with age. I needed to feel supported and comfortable on long runs. They were excellent for distances under 11 miles. Then the legs got wider in the heat and I needed more space. I would like shoe manufacturers to also consider older runners who change feet and need shoes for support. Otherwise I'm happy with…

Very good athletic shoe

I bought this pair of shoes to replace the pair I bought from Asics. The original pair was chosen for me by a store associate who resolved the issue with my foot. I wore them well for more than 6 months of daily use and then had knee surgery. The surgery improved my gait and my gait problems have improved a lot. However, my original boot no longer fit. Lo and behold I found this pair of the same Asics model released a year later for a reasonable price and with free shipping. And now I am very…

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose
Cons
  • Very expensive

Very narrow, returned

Had to return. This shoe model is on my physiotherapist's list of recommendations. I have neither wide nor fat feet. I have a normal BMI. I had numbness in my toes and on the top of my foot in this shoe. I've never had this before. I've watched a lot of YouTube videos about different ways to lace up shoes and never been able to solve the problem. Went back to my old boots and no problem. These shoes are narrower from side to side and top to bottom than other shoes. It has an extremely narrow…

Pros
  • Hands-free device
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Wanted to be liked

I don't think I have particularly wide feet but apparently I have Asics sizing. I tried this model once in the standard width and it was just a bit narrow so I went back to the wide width. They fit my feet perfectly, but otherwise I couldn't find anything special about them. At first I was disappointed with the minimal selection of wide styles, but I still decided to give them a try and ignore the color scheme. I work in a hospital and most of the people there wear Asics so I figured I'd like…

4 stars for aesthetics, 2 stars for comfort!

I love that the shoes are all black and that's the main reason I bought them. I've only worn them a few times and the first time I walked around for a bit I felt this weird, uncomfortable pain in the bottom of my left foot just below my toes (middle). I had surgery on this leg last year so I just blamed it and hoped it would get better. It's not like this! The second time I wore them was for a 10 mile bike ride. The pain shot through my toes and was like a stabbing pain. It was in BOTH legs, it

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
