    replaced the screen of my acer one. and it worked!

    I followed a youtube guide (and accompanying instructions that linked to online guides) to replace a broken Aspire One screen. and it worked great! It's like having a new Acer netbook again. Hooray! I can still benefit from it for a few more years (now that I've installed Linux Mint on a different partition). The instructions weren't entirely clear, but one could work with it after looking at the manuals. Give him a chance!

    the lcd itself was in layers of boxes and lots of bubble wrap but only on the inner box which was a lot smaller than the outside it flopped a bit when you moved it but the Item has not been damaged and works great. overall very good

    The dean is happy with the price

    Pretty solid for $35, easy to install, just like the old one. The main complaints I have is that the packaging wasn't super rigid and might break when flexed, although it's soft might break, and there was a light spot on the screen about 1/2 x 1/2 inch apart from that that this wonderful product has been working 1 hour a day for three months now.

    When I dropped my netbook and shattered the screen, the store that sold it to me told me it would only cost $20 less to fix than a new one - I wasn't happy. I searched the internet for repair options and found that the screen is sold as a separate item and there are several videos on YouTube showing how to install it. I've never done a computer repair before, but when the newly installed screen lit up, I have to admit that I was very pleased with myself, and you can be pleased with yourself…

    Ideal for replacement screens

    Replacement screen fits perfectly and works great; I am actually using it now! The only downside was the lack of an installation guide or even a website to find instructions. I had to go through three different websites and collect information from them to find out. The challenge was to remove the old screen without damaging the laptop. It also required a micro-mini Phillips screwdriver, which I found in the optics department at my local department store. This would also be useful information…

    Easy to Install

    Pros: Inexpensive (compared to spending money on a "professional" screen replacement), well made, very easy to install, no dead pixels. Simply loosen a total of 6 screws, remove the cover and attach the cable. Cons: not free. Additional Notes: The tape used to hold the cable that connects to the LED screen lost most of its tack when it was peeled off the old screen. He should stay, but time will tell. Easy to fix, so don't worry.

    My netbook screen is cracked. I ordered it. After a simple five minute YouTube video, I quickly removed the old screen, replaced the new screen just as quickly, and had my netbook repaired for just over $50. It would easily cost me $150 to have it fixed by a "pro". color, resolution. Everything is much better than on the screen it replaces. My only complaint is that the screen has a hard coating that reflects light too easily. I would have preferred a matte finish but no one else makes screens…
