Pretty good unit. Helped a lot!

Seems to work well. I give 5 stars because it works. As I don't have another gauge to compare it would be unfair to rate it lower. I still use it to tweak my plain mustache a bit. Before purchasing this meter, my SWR warning light was flashing intermittently when transmitting. Now it isn't. Yes!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Cannot be reset for radios

Dial too sensitive for setpoint adjustment. It was doable, but it took several attempts. Also, the counter will not reset to zero unless it is disconnected from the antenna and radio. I'm not sure what's wrong with that, but it's hard to tell what the true SWR is when the needle deviates from zero before you even start. Good enough for a baseline to see if something's really wrong, but I'll borrow a more expensive one to see the true value.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

This one is small, fragile and very generous with a calibration. You can measure swr 5 times at low power and get readings of 5 variables that are not close to each other. This thing looks like a toy from a 25 cent gumball machine. I'm a little embarrassed that I bought this when I could have bought another Surecom. What a waste of money. There has to be some kind of quality control for such electronics.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Some difficulties
