Good product, good quality, not bad.

Here I will write about the moment that everyone often mentions in the minus. But personally, I can't call it that. The sound of coolers. Only a person who believes in unicorns and pink ponies can expect "completely silent operation" from a 14-inch gaming laptop. If you are reading this review choosing a laptop for yourself, I will explain a little why it is impossible to achieve "noiselessness" here. In lazy mode (office software, surfing) the laptop is really completely silent. He even has a

Pros
  • + Great design. Perhaps the only game model adequate in design on the market. I really don't like the market policy that a gaming laptop should look like a Christmas tree. Everything is in moderation here. +Metal cover Again, against the background of other gaming laptops, for such a price, having a plastic case is simply a shame. +Compact There is a task to constantly move around the city, so for me, first of all, mobility and compactness are important. But all gaming solutions start from 15 inches. Here, the form factor for me personally is what I need. + Excellent performance The laptop was bought not only for games, but also for work. I have a 3060 6GB model. And she copes with all tasks, from working with 3D and editing programs, to heavy modern toys. Everything works on ultras with a connection to a 4k monitor, without any brakes. + Great keyboard and touchpad. Since at work you have to type a lot in chats, but you don’t always have a mouse and keyboard at hand. And working on built-in input devices is a real pleasure. Feels quite competitive with Apple technology (there is something to compare with) + Sound He is top. It is clear that it will not replace 5 to 1 concert speakers, but compared to similar devices even from Apple, these are the best built-in speakers that I have heard. + Diode screen on the cover. Not to say that it is a very necessary thing, but it's nice that it exists and it's nice that it's white, and not all the colors of the rainbow. Strict and beautiful. Basically, I don’t use it, but sometimes it’s quite possible to surprise friends and acquaintances) Well, and, of course, it’s better than any glowing apple. MacBook owners bite their nails.
Cons
  • - Overheating of the processor. On the one hand, you should not expect miracles of cooling (which I will write about below) in such a compressed case. Manufacturers, in order to achieve the operating temperatures of a stationary PC, make suitcase-sized gaming laptops that simply cannot be taken with you. Here you have to pay for compactness with an increased operating range. However, one way or another, there is overheating, and for comfortable gaming, for example, I had to buy a cooling pad. With it, the temperature is kept in the region of 80 under load. Without a stand, the processor heats up to 92-95 degrees. If it is not cooled and the laptop is used "as is", I think the percentage will not last long. - No webcam. Some people need it, some don't. But I think that not putting at least a simple camera in a device for 100+ is a clear mockery. They found a place for a diode screen in the lid, but not for a small camera. Yes, you can buy the webcam separately. But given the fact that this laptop is presented as "the most mobile", carrying a webcam with a wire for working calls is not very mobile. - Useless fingerprint scanner. Let's be honest - it's complete nonsense. I just turned it off. It works even worse than on the iPhone. - Lack of Display Port or mini Display Port The minus is also for an amateur, but I believe that in a gaming laptop of the premium segment, at least the mini option should be the default. For example, many VR headsets only connect via Display Port.

The product is usable, I expected a bit more.

The guys at Asus have made a great product, but as you know, everything has its downsides. Heating: it heats up fiercely, without a stand with cooling, you can’t even take this laptop for yourself, it heats up a lot Noise: for some reason, the right fan started to work with a mechanical sound, the left one as usual Quality: cheap plastic all over the body. I understand that the bezels are thin and all, but for that kind of money it was possible to make an iron gasket along the edge of the…

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

Config - GA401IV-HA034 : r7 4800HS, 32GB, 1TB, video 2060, WHQD screen, no OS and (hooray!) no AniMe Matrix. The laptop was purchased as a mobile workstation for programming in conjunction with two monitors - 4k and WHQD. I fiddled with it for a long time in my hands in the store - because of AniMe Matrix, the top cover seemed too massive and the laptop seemed somehow "pot-bellied". I needed a config with the maximum possible amount of RAM, without AniMe Matrix, preferably not r9. The…

Pros
  • An excellent performance filling in a very compact package - this is its essence. Excellent battery life. As a mobile workstation - really mobile (lightweight, portable, and long lasting) compared to other coffins with powerful processors - it's just great. Good sound for a laptop.
Cons
  • The lack of a camera. The fact that the camera module was not installed is a mysterious mystery and the main disadvantage for me when thinking about purchasing this laptop. The ugly font on the keyboard is ugly and not very readable. Unaccustomed keyboard - after the standard ASUS and ThinkPado keys, the keys are a bit tall and tight . perhaps a matter of habit. AniMe Matrix is an incomprehensible garbage, it's good that there are configs without it. WHQD on those 14 inches is too much.

Screen problems: computers and accessories

I should have studied other platforms more carefully before buying this laptop. It's very light and beautiful to look at, but it came with screen flickering that couldn't be fixed. I've tried everything from reinstalling graphics drivers to factory resets, updates, and pretty much everything you can do with software to fix such a problem. Finally, it was something deeper that I couldn't fix. I have submitted a return request and it has been approved and I am awaiting my money back. I will not…

The worst notebook! Best in Computers & Tablets

I bought this on 31st Mar 21, always had wifi issues so I wanted to return it but they wanted to charge me a 15% restocking fee. so i saved it, today 5 MONTHS later. 09/01/2021 Games are not good, they are slowing down and the laptop is getting very hot, now I have a BLACK SCREEN of death. it turns black randomly. nothing I press or click will bring it back to life. Just long press the power button to turn it off and on again. Just don't do it folks, I learned the hard way. spend $1200

THIS THING IS GLITCHY AF

Well it looks good on paper but in my case it doesn't have the good LEDs it should have and also the damn thing doesn't have a built in camera. . Unboxing was nice, but otherwise this laptop just sucks. It's buggy as hell, and if not, is it slow because it's running on a Ryzen 4000, and still it sucks? what the hell

Great laptop, good build quality

I don't usually write reviews. This laptop is great. It has high-quality workmanship, a comfortable keyboard and a responsive touchpad. The only downside is that this particular model doesn't have an anime dot matrix display on the back of the screen. There are holes in the case but there is no backlight inside. I assumed all G14's have this option. Personally, I don't care about such a cool but useless feature, but if you have holes, they might do something. I'm also concerned about dirt…

Satisfied even after the first one failed

I'm not very tech savvy so I looked through many reviews to find a laptop that fit my needs and this one fills the bill! The first laptop I ordered had an immediate problem with the spacebar. I contacted ASUS support and they gave me a case number which I then took to Revain customer support for a refund. After speaking to a rep two days later, I had my hands on a new laptop with no gaps. Everything works fine and I realized that the first laptop also had a screen color issue that the one I…

Stone Sold and Lightweight

This is the best laptop I have ever bought and have had since the late 80's. The backlight sucks and I wish it had dual memory slots, but otherwise I like it. My last laptop literally fell apart after 4 years and cost twice as much as this one. I can pass it on to my grandchildren, it is well built. Not a gamer but I use it for video transcoding. FYI I received a warranty extension from ASUS for my review.

Good laptop - computer and accessories

The laptop is excellent, does what I need and I think it's about the fan. When upgrading memory, be sure to use quality parts.

Exceeds my expectations

The laptop is not as thick as I thought it would be, it is big and thick which makes it portable and easy to lift. Not too hard. The keyboard is great, I like the quick response when I press a key, the keys are not too loud when pressed. You can switch GPUs depending on whether you want more gaming experience or not, or to save battery. The fans start to whirr when you start playing games like APEX on fairly high settings, but that's to be expected, they're not loud enough to make it too…
