Overpriced and unreliable electronics

I was excited to improve my gear with this expensive expansion unit, but it was nothing but trouble. I experienced glitches and hardware failures, also, the customer support was no help.

Pros
  • Potentially useful features.
Cons
  • Way too expensive and unreliable electronics.

Do you have to re-sync every time Atomos shuts down?

All of the timecode for the project was messed up because the cinematographer turned off Atomos to save battery power. Apparently that separate timecode module is out of sync when that happens?

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Updates available

All of the timecode for the project was messed up because DP turned off his Atomos to save battery. Apparently that separate timecode module is out of sync when that happens?

Cons
  • Slightly dented
